Why start blogging?

Just a quick plug for a good friend, Steve Wright (www.lastingdivergence.com). Steve is the Student Ministries Pastor at Providence Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC and has encouraged me to blog for quite some time now. there is no time like the present, right?
Life is about the journey; where you have been, where you are now, and where you will end. I am on a pretty amazing journey. Comparing my past with my present is a pretty crazy thing to do. When I compare my present with what my future holds, I am blown away.

Hopefully, you will continue returning to my blog to learn more about me and my life and how my experience may help you in your journey. In the next few weeks and months, I will let you in on my past, present, and future (yes, I do know my future - just trust me, for now).

I don't have much time, today, but I will leave you with Proverbs 14:15-18

'The simple believes every word, but the prudent considers well his steps. A wise man
fears and departs from evil, but a fool rages and is self-confident. A quick-tempered man
acts foolishly, and a man of wicked intentions is hated. The simple inherit folly, but the
prudent are crowned with knowledge.'

I encourage you not to be simple, but to be prudent. Maybe, you read those proverbs and thought, 'wow, I'm not prudent and I am not being wise with my life.' I'm telling you that even the unwise can become wise. In James 1:5 it says, 'if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Go, and be wise.
